This is a Red Lion template that was designed for flexibility, so any number of products, collateral or special programs could be featured. The goal was to create clear selections such as Purchase and Download, while still telling a complete story about a concept.
Red Lion Brochures
Starting in 2013, one of my first tasks at Red Lion was to establish more cohesive brand materials. With the acquisition of two companies from similar segments the year prior, all of the collateral was looking, feeling and reading differently. The one thing they did have in common was an abundance of technical information, but my focus was to keep the designs clean and legible. We initially came up with the Automation and Networking Guides, which are separate pieces that give a more specific breakdown of the product lines. The theme of large industry images, color blocks and legible copy would then carry throughout all future print pieces.
I created this mobile view concept after the first iteration of the Red Lion website was fully released. The design is a stripped down and simplified version of what was being used on the site at the time.
This was a simple UI design setup for a software team that wanted to know what their new product could potentially look like. A majority of customers would most likely come from the industrial automation field.
What I Know About Canada
Learning about Geography was always a small passion of mine, and I always found myself taking one or two classes a year at York College in that particular subject. When it came time to come up with something for our Senior Project I wanted it to reflect what I had learned over all those years in Geography. So I decided it would be fitting to write about Canada and the US since we share many similarities, yet quite a few differences. The writing mixes facts as well as my own opinion.
N-View Software is remote network monitoring software developed by N-Tron. After receiving a large update in 2016 they wanted a new icon to go along with it. The design also had to fit nicely in a Windows taskbar or a browser favicon. After going through many iterations it was decided that the circular icon would the most legible and that the name should be updated to N-View 2.
Self-Promo Post Card
My intention for this postcard was to create something unusual that would help people get to know me. It includes subjects such as my upbringing, pet peeves, thought process and foods I dislike. Just start in the center and work your way around.
Industry Poster Series
The production of the poster series evolved from the need of having additional hallway signage at Red Lion headquarters in York. It was designed specifically to fit between the drywall paneling. Once completed it was then converted into 18x24 posters with minor tweaks to include additional branding and information.
Trade Show Design
This particular booth was designed for an electrical automation exhibition in Germany and spanned roughly 32’ wide by 16’ high with a depth of almost 15’. The theme was based on the ad campaign running at the time with the goal of showing product solutions spreading across many different industrial applications.
Wood Cut Print
Being inspired by Herb Lubalin's work and career, I wanted to create something unique for our Typography II final. I was eager to do something handmade, so I went with a large scale (1ft x 6ft) woodblock print. I really enjoyed creating this piece, and it was a good change of pace from most of my strictly digital projects.
